2005 Sosoliso Crash Survivor Kechi Okwuchi Honors Deceased Passengers

Kechi Okwuchi took to her Twitter account to pay homage to the victims of the 2005 Sosoliso airplane crash, an event that scarred her physically but brightened her heart.

The unfortunate airplane occurred on December 10, 2005 and it left a bitter taste on the tongue of several Nigerians. Numerous people lost their family and friends, it is we sincerely want to put behind us but it is impossible to neglect those we love by waving them off.

Kechi, after surviving the horrific crash, she became and began to live her best life as soon as possible. She took to her Twitter account to reiterate the 13th anniversary of that awful night.

She wrote on her Twitter:

To the dearly departed of Dec 10, 2005, to the 60 angels, many of whom were dear friends, I want you to know I am doing my very best to keep my promise to you all, to live this gift of life in a way that will best honor your memories & honor the Lord.”

61 students of the Loyola Jesuit College (LJC) were headed home for the Christmas holidays in 2005, when the Sosoliso aircraft conveying them crashed in Port Harcourt. These students, who had left their school and friends less than two hours earlier, were barely minutes away from re-uniting with their families when the tragedy struck.
