2019 AFCON: CAF Revokes Cameroon’s Hosting Rights

The Confederation of African Football, (CAF) has reportedly revoked the hosting rights of Cameroon for the 2019 edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

This was disclosed via the verified Twitter handle of BeinSports on Friday.

It was garnered the executive committee of CAF are to meet in Accra, the capital of Ghana to deliberate on this amongst other issues relating to African football.

CAF inspectors recently travelled to Cameroon, which last hosted the tournament in 1972, to check security, infrastructure, stadiums, and accommodation.

There has been no official confirmation by CAF on which country will eventually host the 2019 AFCON.
