45 KILLED IN FRESH BORNO ATTACK, AS LONDON HOSTS SUMMIT ON B’HARAM

Less than 24 hours after hundreds of people were killed in Atagara village of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members, another 45 people were reportedly killed while several others sustained gunshot wounds when some group of Boko Haram members attacked Bargari village of Konduga Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday night.
Bargari is an outskirt of Maiduguri, the state capital, and about 30 kilometres south east of Giwa Barracks, which came under attack on March 14 this year.
The attack also left many people displaced from their houses as the terrorists set ablaze houses, shops, vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles before carting away food items and livestock.
Meanwhile, British Foreign Secretary, William Hague, will host a meeting of African and Western officials in London next week aimed at stepping up international efforts to defeat Islamist group, Boko Haram, his office said on Thursday.
