Mugu: Graduates show up for fake job interview

Yesterday, a job vacancy calling for graduates to apply at GTbank went viral on the internet. The message read

If you have someone interested in a job at a call centre for GTB, kindly tell them to come tomorrow for interview

Requirement: BSc Graduate

Salary: 80,000

Venue: Resource Intermediaries Ltd, 18A, Elsie Femi Pearse Street, Victoria Island.

Come from 9am…also come with his/her CV

Very Legitimate.

God Bless.

The message was sent as broadcast on social media. Lots of unemployed graduates turned up for the job interview today which turned out to be a prank. Some people even came from outside Lagos.

This twitter user was at the ‘venue’ of the prank-terview.

It is easy to blame the graduates for not recognising the message as scam, but the economy is bad and people are desperate.

There are also reports that ritualists are preying on unemployed graduates with fake job interviews. Let’s be careful people!
