President Muhammadu Buhari has approved funds to enable the Nigeria Football Federation to make travel arrangements ahead of the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Ndola on Sunday.
Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, revealed this in Abuja on Thursday in response to questions by reporters at the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress.
The NFF had cried out for the funds for the encounter.
Dalung said, “Each time we are preparing for competitions, either nationally or internationally, things (news of paucity of funds) like this usually come up and they would always fizzle out.
“We are prepared for the match against Zambia. I will be travelling along with the team to give them moral and physical support.” Read more
