Journalists to boycott all kogi government activities

The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of journalists, NUJ,  Kogi chapter, has asked its members to boycott all functions in the Government House to protest the harassment meted out to its members on Monday.

Some journalists who had gone to cover an event they had been invited for at the Government House were barred by security agencies, Punch reports.

The Chairman of NUJ in Kogi, Ibrahim Obansa, in a letter to the Director-General to the Governor on Media, Kingsley Fanwo, said “I want to bring to your notice the inhuman treatment the security officials at the Government House gate meted out to journalists who were at the Government House to cover an event for which they were invited.”

We think you'd love these too...
