God’s Children Great Talent (GCGT), Africa’s biggest gospel youth talent competition today announced plans to commence its 7th edition during a media unveil held at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island in Lagos.
An initiative of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, GCGT debuted in 2011 and has continued to discover as well as celebrate the exceptional display of talent. This season, GCGT7 is in partnership with HOW Foundation. The media unveil not only witnessed live performances from past winners of GCGT such as Sisan, Onome and Praise but also attracted celebrity guests that included Omawumi, Darey Art Alade, TY Mix, Kaffy, Nikky Laoye, Uti Nwachukwu, Sensei Uche among others.
Highlight of the event was the reveal of N10 million, a brand new car and management deal worth N250 million as star prize for this year’s winner. Award winning singer, Omawumi, choreographer, Kaffy and music producer, TY Mix were also announced as GCGT season 7 judges.

The media event unveiled Ayo Thompson and Uti Nwachukwu as hosts for GCGT Season 7.
This year’s competition will be produced by Nigeria’s leading events production company, Livespot in collaboration with OHTV and televised on partner stations in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, with viewers following the journey of contestants from audition to the grand finale in June at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The search this season covers four main categories that include Music, Dance, Comedy and Spoken word.
