London explosion injures police officers

A man has suffered critical burns and three police officers have been injured in an explosion at a residential property in north-east London.

Officers were called to reports of a “man armed with a weapon” at an address in Stapleton Hall Road, near Finsbury Park, at about 11.50am on Wednesday, the Metropolitan police said.
