Abductors of Abuja police detectives demand N30m (Punch)

Abductors of two police detectives with the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Abuja, have demanded N30m ransom

The two officers, Sgt. Haladu Mohammed and an unidentified colleague were reportedly kidnapped on Wednesday last week on Port Harcourt while on an official duty in Rivers State.

Investigation by Northern City News revealed that the two cops were reportedly abducted from their hotel rooms in the garden city.

However, the police high command had yet to make any statement, as they claimed they were still probing the incident.

But Mohammed’s father, Alhaji Umar Arikya, confirmed the abduction of his son, noting that it was not unexpected in view of the nature of his job as a detective. Read more
