The Presidential Amnesty Office has threatened to expel any beneficiary involved in electoral violence in the upcoming elections in Rivers State.
In a statement issued in Abuja, yesterday, Media and Communications consultant to the office, Owei Lakemfa, advised ex-agitators not to allow themselves to be used as cannon fodders in election violence.
“The Presidential Amnesty Programme is saddened by the circle of violence cracking up in Rivers State. This has become more pronounced as the rerun elections in the state take place on December 10, 2016. “Such violence portends danger to the electoral and governance system in the country.
