Ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention fixed for next week, party gladiators have intensified battle for the control of the national executive of the main opposition party.
Sunday Sun checks revealed that former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff have returned to the trenches over who gets what within the party.
Tinubu, according to party sources, is backing the candidature of former Edo State governor, Odigie Oyegun for the national chairman of the party which has been zoned to the South-south geo-political zone.
Modu Sheriff has also thrown his political weight behind former External Affairs Minister, Tom Ikimi for the exalted position.
