This architect and a former Minister of Foreign Affairs during the administration of the late military dictator, Gen. Sani Abacha, was a member of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, one of the three main legacy political parties which merged to form the All Progressives Congress, in August 2013. His private residence in Maitama, Abuja, was the venue of several meetings heralding the formation of the first successful merger of the then major opposition political parties in the most populous black nation on earth.
