‘APC sponsored operatives to China on Cyber warfare to compromise card readers’ – Atiku

‘APC sponsored operatives to China on Cyber warfare to compromise card readers’ – Atiku

The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has alleged the All Progressive Congress (APC) sent operatives to China on cyber warfare to compromise the 2019 elections.

Atiku alleged the APC operatives are back into the country with the mandate to compromise card readers in the south-east, south-south and north-central.

The former Vice President stated this on Tuesday while speaking at the PDP 84th Emergency National Executive Council (NEC).

He said, “We have just discovered that the APC has hired many of their operatives and have taken them to China to be trained.

“They have been so trained and they are back and are equipped with devices that are meant to slow or fasten our card readers so if you are in the South-South, South-East and North Central, you are likely to get your card readers to be slowed by those APC operatives.

“We have seen the machines; we have interviewed some of those who have gone on these training and we have passed the information to the campaign council to pass unto you.

“The tendency is that they will use this machine to fast track the readings of your card readers so that as many of their supporters can vote while disfranchising the other people.

“I feel I should let you know I have supplied the information to the campaign council.

“You will even see the copy of the machine which each of those operatives will hold; it is like a telephone but that is its job.”

The former Vice President also responded to a comment by President Muhammadu Buhari on ballot snatching.

The President had earlier said, “I gave the military and police order to be ruthless.

“Anybody who thinks he has enough influence in his locality to lead a body of thugs to snatch ballot boxes or disturbs the voting system, will do so at the expense of his own life.”

Atiku in his response said, “I want to direct this message to our military commanders and officers.

“I know that our military commanders and officers are not bound to execute orders that are manifestly unlawful, this is the law, and, this is the tradition in the military.

“So if you are a professional military commander, officer and soldier and also a policeman you are not bound to execute an order which is manifestly unlawful.”
