AYENI ADEKUNLE’S BHM LAUNCHES NIGERIA’S FIRST PR APP

History was made today when the Ayeni Adekunle led BHM Media launched its mobile PR application, the first of its kind in Nigeria.

Announcing the game-changing and industry defining move during a well-attended press conference at the BHM premises, Ayeni in his welcome address said “what we are doing here is something that will be useful to the industry…I try to read about PR a lot and I find that all the case studies I see are about Europe and America. It is easier for me to find out about all the agencies in the US than the agencies in Nigeria.” bhm3

The paucity of information and lack of ready materials about the industry and its practitioners made the App an imperative according to Ayeni Adekunle.

“People call me and say I want to do this, what agency can I work with? So, we decided to set up a platform where people can actually go to and find out what’s happening in our industry.”

A short demo of the app which was developed entirely in-house by BHM staff showed that it is a one-stop-PR shop where the seeker will find trending PR news, a directory of PR companies in Nigeria, popular news sites and blogs, social pr as well as blog entries from BHM Media amongst other resources.

A visibly impressed Chido Nwakanma, MD of Blue Flower and President of PR-Can was full, of praises for Ayeni Adekunle and his team for providing an App that he described as a rich resource  for the industry. “I commend this initiative wholeheartedly.”bhm4

Speaking next, John Ehiguese MD of Media Craft and Vice Chairman of PR-Can said he was pleased that BHM had produced an App that is “a selfless contribution to the industry.  Most people do things for the direct benefit they will get but you are contributing to the industry at large”
