The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Lagos Zone, says the current crisis rocking the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, is steeped in bad politics between its owners, the Oyo and Osun state governments.
The union spoke through the Coordinator, ASUU Lagos Zone, Prof. Olusiji Sowande, on Friday at a briefing with journalists at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Sowande, who said the union was directed by its National Executive Council to intimate the public on the crisis rocking LAUTECH, noted that both states must change their current positions for things to change.
He said the legislative arm of government in both states had stiffled LAUTECH of funds by not approving adequate budgetary allocations to the institution. Read more
