The official homes of the Senate President Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, have been invaded as operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to reports emanating from the Federal Capital Territory, the security operatives arrived at the homes of the Senate leaders in the early hours of Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
It was gathered that those at Saraki’s Maitama residence, however, left around 7:30 am when the Senate President was said to have left the premises while the operatives at the Apo Residence home of Ekweremadu were still there at the time of filing this report.
It is yet unclear what could have prompted the invasion of the homes of the Senate leaders but insiders believe this could have something to do with the moves by Saraki and other members of the National Assembly to defect from the ruling All Progressives Congress.
