Broadband Penetration Critical for Business Development, Says NCC By Emma Okonji
The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Eugene Juwah has said efforts by government to increase broadband penetration across the country, will drive business development and competitiveness in the country.
Juwah, who spoke at the inauguration of the Nigeria Information Technology Reporters’ Association (NITRA) in Lagos at the weekend, called for increased penetration of broadband access in the country, which he said remained critical for business development and competitiveness in today’s world.
The NCC boss, who was represented by the Assistant Director, Technical Services at NCC, Bako Wakil, said: “The increase in scale for businesses and the growth of new industries in the new broadband space is providing employment opportunities in both existing and new companies springing up to take advantage of the opportunities and benefits being offered by the increasing access to broadband services.”
