Buhari okays expansion of Nigeria’s maritime boundaries

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday approved the continuation of efforts by the National Boundary Commission to significantly expand the nation’s maritime boundaries.

According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President gave the after he was briefed by the commission’s Director-General, Dr. Muhammad Ahmad, on the status of preparations for a submission by Nigeria to the United Nations Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf. Youths demand implementation of N5,000 stipend from Buhari

Dickson lauds Buhari for revealing Nigeria’s financial status

Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for disclosing the economic status of the country.

Dickson urged Bayelsa people to brace for the harsh financial situation facing the state.

Buhari: Good Neighbourliness Essential for Security of African Countries

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday in Abuja said recent developments  had made it more important for Nigeria and other African nations to close ranks and work together against terrorism.

A statement by the Special Advier to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina said Buhari spoke at an audience with a Special Envoy of President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea. Buhari said that since terrorism no longer respects national borders, the international community must urgently evolve and implement more effective collaborative measures to enhance  global security. Police picked up two foreigners, most wanted in seven countries, in connection with computers and automated teller machines (ATM) hacking incidents at Taman Tun Dr Ismail here today.

Niger Air Force Bombs Boko Haram Base, Arrests 20 Militants

Niger’s Air Force has bombed a Boko Haram base in the country’s southeast and arrested more than 20 militants, security sources said on Thursday, in its biggest counter-attack in eight months.

Three more suspects arrested in Edo bank robbery
