CAR inaugurates new President today

The President-elect of the Central African Republic (CAR), Faustin Archange Touadera will be installed in his new position on 30 March, APA learns from the steering committee of the investiture ceremony which met on Thursday under the chairmanship of Interim President Catherine Samba-Panza.

The committee, headed by the Minister of State, in charge of Rural Development, Marie Noëlle Koyara, will soon hold another meeting to decide on the location of the event, the logistics and the guest list.

According to sources close to the organizing committee, French President, François Hollande is expected to attend the inauguration ceremony as well as South African President, Jacob Zuma and several other personalities such as the United Nations General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon. Read more
