A two-year-old girl has died in Beijing, crushed by a car as her mother left her on the road to wander, while she was busy checking her phone. A 2-minute video clip, widely shared in Chinese social media, captured the horrific scene: the girl first of all being hit and then crushed by the car.
When the accident took place, the girl was walking alone ahead of her phone-engrossed mother. The girl didn’t survive. The incident has once again reinforced warnings to parents and all phone owners over obsession with the smartphones and neglect of parenting. Police investigation said that the girl walked into the driver’s blind zone.
