Rescue officials at the scene of a gun and bomb attack at the Kano Central Mosque have put number of deaths at 64.
The attack occured at about 2pm during Friday prayers on November 28, 2014.
The number of injured is put at 126 bringing the total casualties just under 200 although the figures are yet to be confirmed.
The Emir of Kami recently called for people to arm themselves against Islamist militant group Boko Haram.
One eyewitness told the BBC’s Focus on Africa: “The imam was about to start prayer when he saw somebody in a car trying to force himself into the mosque. But when people stopped him, he detonated the explosions. People started running helter-skelter.”
