Chad has imposed a ban on full face veils following two suicide bomb attacks on 15 June, which saw 34 people killed and more than 100 injured.
Accusing militants of using the veil as a “camouflage”, Prime Minister Kalzeube Pahimi Deubet said the ban applied to the use of full face veils everywhere and not just public places.
The full-face veil was also banned in May in public places in Congo-Brazzaville in a bid to counter terrorism. Read more
