The Department of State Services and the military have concluded plans to launch a manhunt for the killers of seven DSS operatives who were gunned down last Wednesday by vandals in Ikorodu, Lagos.
It was gathered on Sunday that a joint operation by the two security services would be launched this week to fish out the killers, who were believed to be militants-turned -oil -pipeline vandals.
Sources informed our correspondent that the manhunt might take the security operatives to riverine communities in Ondo, Delta and Bayelsa states, where the suspects might be hiding. It was learnt that two operatives, who escaped the attack, had briefed their superiors and given detailed information on what led to the killing of their colleagues. Read more
