An airliner with 61 people aboard coming from Dubai crashed early Saturday while landing in the southern Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
A ministry statement identified the plane as a Boeing 737-800 that was arriving from Dubai. Officials said the plane was carrying 55 passengers and six crew members, and all on board were thought to have died.
The FlyDubai airline said on its Facebook page: “We are aware of an incident involving our flight FZ981 from Dubai to Rostov On Don. We are investigating.” Read more
