Facebook introduces ‘remembering’ status

Facebook has a new legacy contact feature. What it does is enable you select one person who can access your account after you die.

According to Facebook, the legacy contact feature allows your selected person to pin a post on your profile, respond to friend requests and update your profile picture and cover photo. They will not be able to log into your account, see private messages or edit anything from your past.

The feature was released by Facebook in the U.S. in February, but launches in Australia, New Zealand and Japan on Wednesday. Read more
