Falconets face Tanzania test in Benin (Punch)

Nigeria’s women’s Under-20 team face their counterparts from Tanzania at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, on Saturday in the first leg of their 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier.

The Falconets have qualified for every edition of the competition since making their debut in 2004.

After a first round exit at the last edition in Papua New Guinea, the Falconets are hoping to bounce back to reckoning with a win over the Tanzanians.

The Tanzanians, who have never qualified for the World Cup at that level, will host the second leg on September 30.

The winners of the tie over two legs will face either Morocco or Senegal in the next round of the qualifiers. Read more
