The Lagos chapter of the association of Old girls from the Federal Government Girls College Bida, Niger state held their last quarterly meeting last Sunday, December 7, 2014. The Quarterly meeting /Christmas party was held at Care Court, Victoria Island and hosted by Mrs. Bisola Bello of 92set.
The reunion was well attended by many old girls who stormed the party with their children to have fun in the spirit of the season. With Karaoke and bouncing castle to boot, it was a grand way to close the year.
The meeting also saw the unanimous election of a new President, Mrs. Yinka Osifodurin Ogundimu of 84set. She replaces Mrs. Toyin Sola-Ojelade who relocated abroad sometime in the year.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Yinka Osifodurin Ogundimu thanked the old girls, promising to uphold the school’s name and the association’s goals. “…the task ahead is for all of us but I want to assure you all that we will work hard to make our alma mater proud’ she said.
The association which began in 2009 was started by Mrs. Bukola Olatunji who’s passion inspired the creation of other chapters in Abuja, Port Harcourt and London.
