FirstBank launches walkie-talkie ATM

In its attempt to keep putting customers’ satisfaction first, FirstBank Nigeria has launched its Agent banking channel, ‘Firstmonie Agent’, alias the walking and talking Automatic Teller Machine.

In a statement released by the bank, the Firstmonie Agent is FirstBank’s ‘Human ATM’ empowered to reduce the reliance on over-the counter transactions while providing convenient personalized services.

The statement explained thus: “FirstMonie Agents are owners of small businesses within communities with limited or no banking penetration, who have been enlisted on the FirstBank network which cuts across all 36 states in the country.”

Counter brought to the grassroot.

It further stated: “The Firstmonie agent is equipped to carry out the following services – Account Opening, Cash Deposit, Airtime Purchase, Bills Payment, Withdrawals and Money Transfer,” without customers stepping out of their comfort zone. This means, customers can bank at their convenient time and location, at their workshops, on the street, at favorite joints, rendezvous spots, just anywhere.
