Former Prime Minister Peter Mafany Musonge resigns from the Senate

The former Head of Government resigned on Wednesday 05 July 2017.

Marcel Niat Njifenji, the President of the Upper House, solemnly announced this Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at a meeting of the Senate at the Yaoundé Congress Hall: Senator Mafany Musonge Peter, aged 75, decided to resign from the Senate to concentrate on his new duties as President of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (NCPBM).

Thus, the former Prime Minister, Head of Government and CPDM Senator appointed from the Southwest Region, refuses to be part of the long list of senior managers in Cameroon.

Appointed by presidential decree as president of the NCPBM, Peter Mafany Musonge will now be fully involved in the leadership of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism, Following the Anglophone crisis. Read more
