Four policemen have been arrested in connection to the murder of a returnee from the United Kingdom (UK) named Anita Akapson. The order was issued by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Anita has been a member of the staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) since she returned from the UK last year.
She was reported to have been gunned down by the police officers at a checkpoint.
A Twitter user with the handle @ihekauche, who made the alleged murder known on the social media platform wrote:

Meanwhile, the Police Command through the Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood released a statement to back up the fact that the officers involved have been detained. The statement was tweeted by Segun Awosanya, @segalink, a human rights activist.
