GOOD LUCK FOR JONATHAN, BAD LUCK FOR NIGERIANS! By S.H.Moulana
Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan may be really lucky to become the president of that African country soon after the demise of his predecessor in 2010.
But we cannot say the same thing about the citizens of his country, since they are experiencing a great deal of hardship in every way.
A country blessed with God given wealth, the oil, is totally mismanaged and plundered.
According to news reports corruption in the country is rampant and the man with good luck has totally failed to give at least the basic protection even to his people by eradicating the terror groups in the country.
We see the not so lucky citizens, unlike their lucky president, are being massacred by these groups, mainly by Boko Haram, every day.
The fate of the girls abducted from their place of learning is still not known. All what we see are just demonstrations all over the world with people carrying posters ‘Free our girls!’
If those protesters think that this humble appeal will melt the hearts of those brutal terrorists, holding the girls, I should say, they must be in for a huge disappointment.
According to media reports the army had prior information of this abduction but failed to prevent it because they feared for their own lives by a confrontation with the hardcore Boko Haram.
They treasured their own lives more than the lives of those innocent girls.
