Haba! Jason Momoa apologises for disgusting rape ‘joke’(Metro)

Jason Momoa has apologised for making a disgusting joke about raping women on Game of Thrones in 2011.

A clip from Comic Con six years ago resurfaced yesterday amidst the sexual assault and harassment allegations made against Harvey Weinstein, showing the actor making a very distasteful comment on the Comic Con panel in Hall H.

While discussing his character Khal Drogo, Momoa said: ‘But as far as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that there’s so many things you can do, like rip someone’s tongue out of their throat and get away with it and rape beautiful women.’

The room burst into laughter, while his castmates – including Emilia Clarke, whose character Daenerys was raped by Khal Drogi in Game of Thrones – looked embarrassed. Jason took to Instagram to apologise for the comment as the clip went viral. Read more
