How the world’s media reacted to England’s World Cup shootout win over Colombia (Independent)

“England end the curse” is Mundo Deportivo’s headline, a theme that featured in every write-up in every language when it came to describing a nail-biting penalty shootout victory that sent the Three Lions into the World Cup quarter-final.
