Imo APC Primary: Gov. Okorocha’s son-in-law trounced by Sen. Uzodinma

The hopes of Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha to impose his son-in-law and Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2019 elections were dashed after Senator Hope Uzodinma defeated Nwosu roundly in the state primary.

The result which was signed and announced by the returning officer, Ahmed Ali Gulak, showed that Uzodinma polled a whopping 423,895 to beat Nwosu who could only garner 10,329 votes, to pick the party’s ticket in the election conducted earlier today.
However, it was gathered that after announcing the result, Gulak reportedly disappeared from his hotel room as political thugs loyal to Okorocha were said to have stormed the hotel demanding for his head.
