Isoko clan resolves six-year kingship tussle (Guardian)

After some stakeholders’ brainstorming session, recommendations for peaceful coexistence in Aviara kingdom over Ovie regency crisis since 2012, has been submitted by the management of Chaplaincy mission with a charge on Prince Harry Emaviwe to serve as regent for 18 months in line with the constitution of Aviara Kingdom, held at Iyede townhall, Isoko North local government area of Delta State.

The management of the Chaplaincy mission body was led by Archbishop C.A.O. Apena, Chief Dr. Kenneth Idiodi, Major-General Paul U. Omu (rtd), Prof. Abednego E. Ekoko, Delta Regional Director, Chief A.P.J Okpakpor Chairman and Revd. Gabriel .P.O. Eveso, who served as secretary general, all issued the statement. Read more
