British ‘Jihadi bride’ Sally Jones has been killed in a US drone strike sources in Whitehall have confirmed this morning.
Former punk musician Jones, who was born in Kent, fled to Syria in 2013 with her husband and son to join ISIS, becoming one of the most wanted women in the world.
US spy chiefs told The Sun that Jones was killed by a drone close to the border between Syria and Iraq in June. This information was confirmed by Whitehall this morning.
Last night a source told the newspaper: “The Americans zapped her trying to get away from Raqqa. Quite frankly, it’s good riddance.”
There are reports her 12-year-old son Jojo was also killed, but this has yet to be confirmed.
Although no attempt was made to recover her DNA from the site of the drone strike, US intelligence chiefs are confident she is dead, say reports. Read more
