It would be recalled that Kwankwaso’s support for Yusuf appeared to be causing serious issues within the Kwankwasiyya Movement with many decrying his imposition of his in-law on the party.
In an interview recently, Kwankwaso reportedly told journalists that he preferred Yusuf to be the next governor of the state because he was ‘more competent than the others’, and that ‘he was hurt by Abdullahi Ganduje’s failure to continue with the uncompleted projects he left behind.’
