Katsina bye-election: Massive crowds as APC, PDP lock horns in Buhari’s town (Punch)

In what could be described as a test for the 2019 battle, the ruling All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party held rallies in Daura, the hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina State, on Thursday. While the APC drummed support for Ahmad Baba-Kaita, its Katsina North Senatorial District candidate, the PDP wooed the crowd in favour of Kabir Babba-Kaita. Coincidentally, the two candidates in the election scheduled for Saturday are brothers. On the APC side were Acting President Yemi Osinbajo; APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole;  Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State; and  Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano state. Read more
