The Marquee of the Federal Palace Hotel was overflowing, on Sunday May 25, 2014, with guests who had trooped in for the launch of Chude Jideonwo’s book of essays, ‘Are We the Turning Point Generation.’
The book of essays was reviewed by Segun Adeniyi, Editorial Board chairman of Thisday Newspapers and also by Funmi Iyanda and therewere just two of the many high profile guests who came out to celebrate with the young man who is a leading light of his generation.
The event had designer, Ohimai Atafo as compere with Ali Baba coming on later to support and help with the book auction.
Speaker after speaker had only great things to say about Chude Jideonwo, who aside being founder of Ynaija, Enough is Enough and Red media, is also publisher of ynaija, convener of the annual The Future Awards and a sought after speaker across Africa.
Guests in the house included former ministers, Oby Ezekwesili and Bolaji Abdullahi, Professor Pat Utomi, Femi Falana, Rivers state commissioner for information, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, Mrs. Jideonwo, Mo Abudu, Julius Agwu and wife, writers, Kaine Agary, Eghosa Imasuen and Toni Kan, actors Monalisa Chinda and Omoni Oboli, OAPs Toke Makinwa, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Adaure Ochumba Denrele Edun and Ebuka Obi Uchendu, Bloggers Noble Igwe, Linda Ikeji and Olori Supergal, veteran journalist Jahman Anikulapo, Ice Prince and many more.
