LCCI TARGETS INVESTMENT OF N3.5TR PENSION ASSETS IN SMES

The president of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Alhaji Remi Bello, on Monday, in Lagos, said the chamber is partnering the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on how to secure long-term funding for Small and Medium scale Entreprises that are members of the chamber.

 

Addressing newsmen, when he led a team comprising the board of LCCI to the NSE’s corporate head office, Bello said “a look at the portfolio of bank deposits showed that the bulk of deposits we have are short term funds.

 

We need to collaborate with NSE to see how we can sensitize the investors to the opportunities that exist in the capital market for them to source for long term funds and are cheaper.”
