Our man crush Monday for this week is the prominent Nigerian actor and linguist Kanayo O. Kanayo real name Anayo Modestus Onyekwere.
He was born March 1, 1962 in Imo state, Nigeria. He made his mainstream television debut in the critically acclaimed movie Living in Bondage in 1992 where he played the role of Chief Omego a vicious ritualist. Kanayo would go on to appear in over 100 movies and he is renowned for playing the role of a cultist/ritualist of his movies.
Some of his popular Nollywood movies include Rituals, occultic kingdom, Apaye and most recently October 1st and Celebrity marriage. In 2006, he won the African Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and he was announced as a United Nations ambassador and is also received a national honor for societal contribution.
In recent times, Kanayo went on to play Professor John bull in the Glo-sponsored television eponymous series. On October 14, 2018 he posted videos and pictures to celebrate his graduation from the prestigious institution University of Abuja where he studied Law. It is indeed a great height to attain at the age of 56, the actor kept on seeking perfection and more knowledge no wonder his monologues can never bore viewers because of his idiosyncrasies and diction delivery.
The dark-skinned actor keeps rebranding himself in the industry, like an eagle he keeps soaring to greater heights, his career and personal life has defined progress overtime. He is happily married to Nneka Onyekwere and they are both blessed with three lovely children.
We love Kanayo O. Kanayo because he is a man that is naturally a goal oriented personnel. We would love possess such personality.
