Our man crush Monday for this week is Mr. Leonard Stanley Ekeh, better known as Leo Stan Ekeh, the Chairman of Zinox Technologies Limited, the leading computer and technology distribution in Nigeria.
Zinox Technologies Limited is the forerunner of the technology industry and the first to be awarded in that sector in Sub-Sahara.
Ekeh, a quintessential business mogul with hands in different pies, is an advocate of digitalization of Nigeria and he possesses the militant personality that connotes intense aggression and unrelenting desire for change and positivity in the immediate vicinity.
Ekeh who is known for never taking no whenever he is set out on a mission, longs for all Nigerian graduates and the other citizens to become tech-savvy as well as have a basic idea on the rudiments of information technology from a youthful age. He also wants Nigerian brands to compete favorably against western companies such as Microsoft and Apple.
Growing up in Imo state, Nigeria, the young Ekeh envisioned Africa becoming one of the major contributors on the global digital market, which is rapidly metamorphosing into a reality.
Recently, his company, Zinox completed the acquisition of Konga.com, Nigeria’s number one e-commerce company and has gone ahead to aggressively turn the company into one of the best in the e-commerce sector of the economy.
Leo Stan has gained the trust of many individuals including the hearts of world presidents and other industrial giants, while accumulating numerous awards worldwide, including the ‘Icon of Hope Award’ conferred on him former President Olusegun Obasanjo on October 1, 2002, for his exemplary digital vision and as a role model for modern Nigeria.
He has also garnered six degrees including the Doctor of Science Degrees (Honoris Causa) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), University of Jos, Federal University of Agriculture, Markudi (FUAM), Imo State University (IMSU), among other citadels of learning.
He is the proud recipient of over 90 awards, by far the most decorated entrepreneur in the nation’s ICT ecosystem.
Just as he has chains of successful technology enterprise, he is doing proficiently well in his personal life; he is married to Chioma Stan Ekeh and they have five children and lovely grandchildren.
That is why we love Mr. Leo Stan Ekeh because he has defined the purpose of hard work, dedication and continuous belief and contribution to the future of Nigeria.
