Tragedy was averted yesterday at Wadata Plaza Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) when its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh slipped off his chair.
Other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) including National Chairman, Senator Ali Modu-Sheriff, were seated for the inauguration of caretaker committees for Borno and Yobe states when the incident happened.
Metuh, who was about to take his seat besides the party’s Women Leader, Kema Chikwe, suddenly fell on the floor as his chair slipped. Writhing in pains, he was taken out of the NWC hall for urgent medical attention. Read more
