Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, on Monday signed the 2016 budget of N123.7 billion into law.
The law, which was signed at the Cocoa Conference Centre in the Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, had a recurrent expenditure of N69.19 billion or 55 per cent and N54.9 billion of capital expenditure or 44.07 per cent.
Mimiko stated that the budget was the last fiscal instrument to be fully implemented by his administration to ensure the sustenance of the people-oriented programmes in the state.
The Governor said despite the challenges in the last seven years, “God has granted our prayers for the transformation of both the land and the people of the State through the instrument of our yearly budgets, which has enabled us to implement the several game-changing initiatives and programmes all across the State.
