Narrative Landscape Press has launched a traditional publishing imprint with the acquisition of the rights to the Nigerian editions of bestselling and award-winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s books.
A statement from the company Thursday said they are pleased with both the launch and the acquisition.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of the traditional publishing imprint of Narrative Landscape Press, and our acquisition of the rights to the Nigerian editions of bestselling and award-winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s books,” said the statement.
As a result Narrative Landscape, the statement explained further, will publish special collector’s editions of Ms. Adichie’s body of work, beginning with Purple Hibiscus and continuing through Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, and her non-fiction books, We Should All Be Feminists and Dear Ijeawele.
“We, at Narrative Landscape Press, have built a reputation for excellence in our publishing services business, and with this foray into traditional publishing, we are very excited by the possibilities of working with Ms. Adichie on these titles and her future books,” the statement said.
The new editions of Ms. Adichie’s books and novels will be released to the public in April of 2018 and will be available for purchase as complete sets. The cover designs, which inspire familiar feelings of home, of nostalgia, and elegance, were designed in collaboration with VLISCO, who provided the cover art.
The management of Narrative Landscape also announced that their submission’s desk is open for entries twice a year when they accept manuscripts in March-April and September-October “and are looking for the kind of writing that conforms to our motto: Our stories, our way”.
