The inaugural Nickfest event, which held in Nigeria on November 18 and 19 has children, parents and everyone else who attended, talking about how much fun their experience was.

The popular Nickelodeon brand clearly over-delivered on its promise.

This is what those who failed to attend missed out on: The best pair to host a family event is the friendly and hilarious IK Osakioduwa and Emmanuella of Mark Angel Comedy. Right from the start of the event, the two held everyone spellbound with their amazing talent and entertainment. Together the two appear more like dad and daughter and entertained the audience with an impressively coordinated show.

Children watched stage shows by their favourite Nickelodeon animated superstars: SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Chase, Marshall, Rubble and Skye from Paw Patrol as well as Shimmer and Shine. Dora, from Dora and Friends made a special appearance as well Even the adults were excited to experience the animated characters.

Nickelodeon’s trademark Slime Area entertained both children and celebrities with the latter participating in the Celebrity Slime Challenge organised to raise awareness and funds for The North East Children’s Trust.

It was exciting when children and parents joined these celebs in the slime dunk at the Slime Zone. For many, it was surreal having so much fun with people they thought they’d only see on screen.

A delighted mother who came with her two boys said, “This is such a good thing that Nickelodeon is doing. I’m wowed. I didn’t even expect it to be this exciting especially for an adult like me. I mean, even I had fun myself. I hope they don’t stop because this is something I’ll definitely like to attend with our children again.”
