Niger Gets N16.8bn Bailout, Mops N424.6m In TSA

In view of the prevailing economic situation in Niger state, the state commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, has stated that the state received an approximated N16.8 billion bailout funds in phases from the federal government even as the state Treasury Single Account TSA mopping funds hit N424.6 million.

The commissioner, who told state House third plenary in the second legislative year of 8th assembly, stated that the bailout fund was received in three phases including that of the infrastructural development

He stated that the first bail out was N4.3 billion, the second N2.5 billion and the last N10 billion for infrastructural development. The commissioner for Finance  also told the house that the between January to date the amount that was accrued to the state as statutory allocation , Value Added Tax, and exchange excess was N16,7 billion while the internally generated revenue is N2.4 billion .
