The Government of Nigeria has announced that Ghana has been Crimea’d and named Nigeria’s 37th state.
The announcement was made via a decree that many say was very similar to the one issued by Vladmir Putin when Russia took over Crimea.
The decree also noted that Babatunde Raji Fashola has been named governor of Ghana while the Ghanaian president has been named as Nigeria’s envoy to Crimea while Dame Patience has been appointed Commissioner of Education for the state of Ghana.
The tersely worded statement noted that “Fashola is eminently qualified to preside over Ghana. Any man who can rule Lagos can rule a small state like Ghana.”
The APC in a swift reaction described the appointment of Fashola as a “Trojan Horse of epic proportions. How can you give what you don’t have?”
Meanwhile, Ghanaians have been protesting massively calling the action a travesty.
“Charly, how can Nigeria do this to us. Everything we like they want to take. See, after we sang Azonto Wizkid decided to sing his own and Jim Iyke left all the fine girls in Nigeria to come here and take Nadia,” a Ghanaian who spoke to sabinews.com said.
“Oil. It is oil. Nigeria’s oil is drying up and they want our own,” another Ghanaian told us.
“Why is their president looking for a new country. He should go and face Boko Haram,” another said.
