NUJ demands apology over Journalists’ attack

The Ondo State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists has condemned alleged assault on five journalists by some workers of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, describing it as barbaric.

Six journalists were on Friday attacked by members of the three labour unions (the Non-Academic Staff Union, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the National Association of Academic Technologists) in FUTA during a protest by the workers.

The journalists attacked were Peter Dada, Hakeem Gbadamosi, Leke Akeredolu, Dayo Johnson, Babatope Okeowo and Seun Akingboye. Read more
