Onazi apologises (Punch)

Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has apologised for his performance against England in a 2018 World Cup friendly match at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

The Turkey-based defensive midfielder was a shadow of himself in the match, which the Eagles lost 2-1.

His performance drew negative criticisms and reactions from  fans  on social media, with many calling for his exclusion from the final 23-man  squad for the World Cup.

The 25-year-old posted his apology on Instagram on Monday, saying he would work harder on himself to improve his form before the World Cup. Read more
